When working with sound I often use visual media as an evocative form of notation in representing the form of complex sounding structures.  The appliance of conventional Western music notation when applied to the composition of sound is problematic; due to the internal limitations of a formal system continuously displaced by the constriction of language.  Scoring sound has found a place in the widespread notation of a graphic score that allows for a boundless area of musical expression; through the use of visual symbols outside of the realm of traditional music notation. Here are some examples of sketches made in 2014.
