In July 2014, I was invited by Elektronmusikstudion EMS to celebrate their 50th year anniversary. On July 20th, eleven artists and composers departed Stockholm and travelled to the county of Dalarna (literally, “the valleys”) to perform live and fixed media electroacoustic music. Dalarna county is a rural area located in central Sweden known for its distinct emblem of a red wooden horse (see picture below) and it has a longstanding folk music tradition. During the journey, we travelled through large forests home to wolves, wild boars and moose. Occasionally, stopping off for a quick swim in one of the numerous freshwater lakes, the water was warm and the weather hot.

In all we visited and performed at Siljansnäs, Falun and Thurbo. Finally arriving at the Norbergfestival a 25-year-running festival, held on the abandoned iron mine site of Mimerlaven in Norberg, Sweden.
