Non-sequenced retro analogue music tech-fuelled psychedelic jams. Hotpot was an impromptu band formed in South Manchester (UK) between 1998 - 2004. The juxtaposition of musical ideas allowed the band to create a dynamic form. Relinquishing control, having no fixed agenda, the music became spontaneous and exciting. An emphasis on improvisation allowed the musicians to simultaneously question their roles as both composers and performers. Their musical influences reference jazz, electronic and psychedelic music.

Mixed Messages by Thought Universe
Originally released in 2004. The album is influenced by the underground electronic music scene of Manchester in the late 1990's. Taking in elements of instrumental hip-hop, synthesisers, signal processing and Musique concrète.

Since 1994, Tnought Universe EMS is a studio in Manchester (UK) producing electroacoustic music and sound-art. Thought Universe EMS is run as an independent organisation. The studio is available to produce electroacoustic music and sound-art. Thought Universe EMS aim is to support artistic development of electroacoustic music and its integration within other artistic areas
