The world of 'Klangtas' is an imaginary sound world that exists in the space between our ears and our imagination. The inhabitants of Klangtas are made from a multitude of sonic organisms that float on the waves of our minds. This sound recording documents a recent visit to Klangtas and introduces four of its inhabitants Brickman, Dornot, Argo and Kido. A robot probe was sent through the portal to interview the creatures in order to find out more about the world between the speakers. For you to enter Klangtas, you must apply the face manipulation technique of 'gujing'. The thumbnail pictures below are examples of random members of the public performing the act of 'gujing'. The technique, of squeezing your thumb and forefinger onto the sides of your cheeks, enables you to enter the world of 'Klangtas'. So, whilst listening to the sound recording, don't forget to 'GUJ!'.
Thanks to all the participants who took part in this project.
