Multi-channel 8.1
Duration 14'00
Foof is an 8.1 acousmatic composition that derives its sonic content from a number of an analog modular synthesisers recorded onto a tape cassette machine. The piece began life at Thought Universe Studio in Manchester and later mixed into eight-channels at LICA, Lancaster university in 2014. The piece questions the revaluation of how analogue music technologies can be integrated alongside emerging digital music technologies. Especially on the primacy of sound as a mediating factor when using new and redundant technologies to determine new creative discourses.
